Courtney Scheskie was proud to join the Museum in 2015 after a short time as an Education Collections volunteer. She supports the Health Sciences, Zoology, and Integrative Collections team as a spreadsheet master, receipt wrangler, obscure supply finder, logistics guru, and budget magician. In a previous life she received her undergraduate degree in history from Western Washington University and a master’s degree in African studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Courtney’s favorite place in the world is the Nile shore in Aswan, Egypt, where the Nubian’s river culture reminds her of growing up on the Mississippi in Wisconsin. In her free time she enjoys working on her crafting business, reading, and spending as much time as possible enjoying beautiful Denver, Colorado.
