Dear members,
Welcome to your Spring 2023 issue. This time of year always makes me think of reinvention and fresh beginnings. So, in that spirit I’m extremely excited to share the new experiences, technological upgrades and scientific discoveries you’ll encounter when you visit your Museum.
I invite you to dive into our temporary exhibitions, like “Unseen Oceans,” which takes you from the surface of the sea to its depths to explore fascinating species, ecosystems and human efforts to preserve our big blue. Or immerse yourself in the great tiny world of “Bugs,” our latest exhibition, where you can walk through a visually breathtaking space and learn how our smallest neighbors defeat all kinds of adversities to survive, thrive and inspire human creation.
I am also excited to announce that Girls & Science is back with an in-person event on March 3, which kicks off a month of virtual programming and engagement. This popular program highlights women mentors in STEAM careers. Participants are able to ask lots of questions and explore the many opportunities a future career in science, technology, engineering, arts and math can bring.
Additionally, after a few months of renovations, the all-new Infinity Theater at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is open for business! This state-of-the-art theater features a new, high gain 2.9 MDI Premium HGA silver 3D cinema screen, a laser projection system and all-new surround sound. We’ve also updated the lobby, concessions area, seating, accessibility and much more!
