World’s biggest amazonite array
Birthed a billion years ago from hot fluids coursing through the geologic veins that underpin Pikes Peak, these giant crystals are the rarest of the rare. They lay hidden until a few years ago when Joe Dorris and family pulled them out of a muck-filled crack. With one wipe of a towel, their green came through and it was clear that these crystals would go down in history as some of the most spectacular ever discovered.
