We are so excited you’re thinking about a visit to Denver Museum of Nature & Science! We also understand the Museum can be an overwhelming environment sometimes. Here are a few ideas to help you plan a more sensory friendly visit.
Quiet Times
- Weekdays before 10 a.m.
- Weekdays after 2 p.m.
- Friday evenings when we are open until 9 p.m.
- The first few weeks of each school semester
Quiet Spaces
- Seating near the Discovery Zone on LEVEL 2
- North American Wildlife on LEVEL 2
- Wildlife Halls on LEVEL 3
- Leprino Family Atrium (large and small seating areas on each level):
enjoy views of City Park from inside or take an elevator to the Sky Terrace on LEVEL 4 (weather permitting)

Stop by the Information Desk near the Museum entrance to check out a SPARK (Sensory Processing and Autism Resource Kit) backpack or any of the items inside: headphones, fidget toys like poppers and textural toys, and wiggle seats.
